Going to Estes Park Co, I have a Nikon 7500, 18-300 lens, 200-500 lens all Nikkor for all the wildlife.
Will that cover what I want to photograph out there, I have heard the 200-500 can give you trouble going through the airport. Your thoughts on this.

Only if it is filled with explosives or drugs. So what if they stop you? Hand it over and let them examine it.

I've taken mine through Detroit, pre-check, and never had an issue. I'm always asked to open my camera case, but it is just for a cursory look. Never had to demonstrate it was a lens. Check points at air shows, different story.

At airport security, I always take camera bodies and lenses out of my bag and put them in a separate tray. This allows TSA agents at the X-ray machine to take an unobstructed look. Your 200-500mm should not be a problem.

Those lenses should be plenty.
Can either focus close with relatively high magnification as the small flowers and such are amazing.
If not perhaps a minimal extension tube would be great to add with minimal space and weight impact.
Just a thought.

Have fun, it is a great area.
Our dog guide had fun watching the Marmots pop up and down as he walked along.

If possible, take Fall River Road in Rocky Mountain National Park to the top of Trail Ridge Road. Dirt road but easily passable with auto. Beautimous trip!

Ask about the spots where the Elk might be at or near sunset. Photograph them from your car window. If you have a bean bag bring it. I never have had to take my 500mm lens out of my bag in the US. I do tell the TSA agent what is in the bag.
