Two separate topics, but they happened at about the same time.
I wanted to change the delivery date for a UPS package. I went through the steps, but the date didn't change. Then I discovered that I had to pay $10 to change the date or get it sent to a "safe location." So much for that.
I'm on the iMac, and LastPass wanted me to sign in again. I don't have a record of my LP password saved on this computer, so I accepted the offer of a one-time password. I entered my user name and a one-time password. Red warning! Either the name or p/w are wrong. The PW must be 32 characters! Wow! "Must be." I entered 32 characters, and got the same warning that something is wrong. I'll look it up when I get back to Windows. I don't know why LastPass signed itself out. It's never done that in Windows.
Maybe I should add another password keeper to keep the password of the password keeper. : )

Because if you want to change delivery of a UPS package, you should be prepared to pay $10.
If you have to deal with a missing LastPass password or ID, it could prove difficult. Save both words in written form somewhere secure.
You're welcome!
I have used KeePass (keepass.info) for many years. I have maybe 50 different accounts listed, some from my former job. Open source, portable if you want it to be, under active development. It might even import your LP dB. One thing KeePass doesn't do is form filling. It doesn't bother me either.

I suggest a notebook, no kidding, some times the old way is the best.

I developed a system for making up passwords. I just did that with LastPass, so I'm all set - at least for now.
Last Pass does not require 32 characters, It sounds like you have been hacked.

I'll see what happens when I go back on the iMac. The 32 characters were for a one-time password.
No one should rely on LastPass, or any other commercial password manager that could go away and take your passwords with it. I use LP, but it's secondary to my reliable PasswordSafe, which is open source, locally installed, with a locally created database that can be put anywhere in the cloud, and not relying on a single commercial database.
I keep my passwords in an Excel sheet. I copy and paste them when needing access to anything. Some of my passwords are so convoluted with letters, special characters and numbers I’d never be able to enter them manually. But I suppose I should also keep a printout of them in case the spreadsheet gets corrupted or, horrors, deleted.
