Grackles have become one of the most common of birds in my yard and they are large and loud. Like most birds, the female lacks the showy colors of the male and is noticeably smaller. However, they are attractive in their own way. Often they are comical when feeding a young male, who is considerably larger than his mother. If you get too close to their young, they become quite vocal and usually all of the females in the yard will join in the chorus. This behavior becomes annoying when you have several nest in the yard. At any rate, I enjoy them and hope you do too. Thanks for viewing.
Terrific set. Thank you for posting it.
A fine set of a bird not often photographed because of its lack of vibrant color.
