Bob, I think it's lovely. It would actually make people feel a lot better about themselves if they practiced "Be kind or Be quiet." Some can't help it. That's just how they are.

SRG for some reason, Bob choosing to shoot that philodendron in b&w struck a raw nerve with you. The philodendron still exists, Bob did no harm to it. He merely chose to record in b&w. He has been sharing a lot of b&w images lately. He could have made an infrared image or used old film or....I wonder how many hundreds of different ways Bob could have captured that philodendron. If I were recording the philodendron for my records, I'd probably have a color image, but I'd also like to have this image as well. Basically it's no skin off my ass if Bob Yankle makes a black and white image of a philodendron, I wonder why his doing that makes your's so sore.

Because I have been noticing a fad toward B&W photography here on UHH. I have only limited time and am losing patience with clicking on blah B&W images. I think Admin should have a sub category called B&W. Im sure that would make many on here feel happy. It certainly would make me feel happy.

As I have previously pointed out, A healthy vibrant rosy cheecked individual turns Grey (B&W) as a result of illness which often is a precusror to death.

I have to agree with the idea of a sub category for B/W even though I think your post could have been a little kinder, nicer put, more polite. I love photography and I am also an artist of the paint and brush type, so color is my main interest. I still see a very vivid B/W photo now and then that is so outstanding that I just have to love it, but for those who do not like it at all, a sub category would be nice. But then....that would have us calling for a separate category for EVERYTHING...which also might be a good thing for us flower, bird, barn, wildlife and landscape lovers.

I'm actually wondering why we're spending so much time even talking about this. If I open a post and I don't like the picture I can simply close the post. I don't have to make a big statement about how I don't like that post. I can simply close it and go on. I think that's the way to handle this maybe? I don't think we have to make a big deal about something we don't like. I don't think we have to say that we shouldn't post something because I don't like it. That just seems a little extraordinary to me. And I think perhaps we can be a little more adult and a little bit wiser and just simply choose to not look at something we don't like and go on.

You are 100% right because there's no way on earth everyone can be pleased and it never hurt anyone to just be nice.
