Maher discusses the lack of wordplay and the demand for political correctness. He bashes the lack of real journalism. I see the political question of UHH and the smearing accusations there and the lack of knowledgeable discussion based on information. We as a democracy are willing to give up democracy to save democracy...what??? The Republicans accuse the Democrats of being "socialist" never defining what is bad about socialism... never pointing out that we have free education, highway systems, etc for the good of society... the good of all... Socialism is on its way to C*******m. The Politica-Fingerpointing is all that is needed, and much of the population grunts in obedience without the knowledge or asking for more information.

Sad to say, 40% of the USA population is dumb as mud. They accuse each other using accusations about Socialism, C*******m, and Capitalism and do not have a clue as to origins and definitions and how mixtures of these political philosophies exist and are part of a healthy society.

The typical person on the USA street if asked about the C*******t Manifesto by Marx, they would say it is Russia under Stalin. zzzzt... Wrong~!

For a guy with a decent vocabulary you seem to lack common sense intelligence. You state the Republicans are guilty of, "never defining what is bad about socialism". Do you need the Republicans to do that for you? Can't you open your eyes and study history?

About 150 million people are estimated to have been k**led or died prematurely under Socialism in the twentieth century. Socialism directly led to the immense growth of organized state power, the decline of traditional religion, and the rise of totalitarianism. But apparently free education (for indoctrination purposes), highway systems and the trains running on time balances it all out in your mind.
