That is impressive. Share details if you don't mind.
Background: every year I drive about 70 miles to Presque Isle, Michigan to take photos of the Boats at their Wooden Boat Show. On the way, I drive all the back roads looking for photo ops, mostly of barns. Every year it's almost a totally clear blue sky. I took this one on the way home at 1:22 pm.
Processing: I look for shots that might work well in B & W. I process in Lightroom, just playing with all the sliders to bring out the best texture, etc. The secret to these kind of shots is pulling down the Blue slider all the way. That gives the "shot at night/with full moon" look. Then, sometimes, like on this one, I had to lessen the exposure on the left side of the roof using the brush tool. I just keep looking at the photo to bring out what I think is the best in it. Sometimes it works great, sometimes I don't get anything I really like.
Needless to say, this time it worked great!
I like the tone in this b&w.
