Here is some more from last weekend at the Minnesota State Fair grounds, the participating cars have to be 1964 or older. The Minnesota Street Rod Association (MSRA) puts this show on every year in June.

Very nice. The first Ford is a 1950 unless someone put ‘50 grill bar/parking lights on a ‘49. The trunk latches are different but not visible in your shot. I had a ‘49 with a ‘50 trunk lid so various combinations are possible.
In the summer of 1959 my buddy Ted bought a 1950 Ford for $100 . . . just as we were about to be juniors in high school. My Dad owned a little tote-the-note lot he took in a 1949 Ford on a trade-in and Ted bought it for $25. We took the radio and heater out of the 49 and put in it the 50. Later we moved the clutch and transmission from the 49 to the 50. We had fun and learned a lot about cars and friendships. That's what young boys did in Texas in those days. What a great place our part of the world was in 1960.
