Since numbers are so important for you, why the yo-yoing ISO? Sports shots emphasis shutter speed more than anything else. Your shot selection gives good insight to game action. I am trying to understand the exposure equations.

Subjects look sharp on my screen could it be a large aperture narrowed the depth of field such that areas slightly away from the subject were blurred? Perfectly ok with me
