I found that because House Finches hatch and raise multiple broods a season (There is a lot of attrition among the young.) the males do almost all of the care and feeding of the Fledglings while the females start a new batch of eggs.
Here is one Father earning his right to the title "Dad".
I was reminded because I just got a call from our daughter (my step-daughter but has called me Daddy since she was 4) at Medical School for "Dad's Day" as she called it.
She says I earned the title "Dad" the hard way so I am the only one who gets to be called that by her.
I think that is a glowing testament.

My mum lived 91 years and always referred to her father as
''Daddy", as did her siblings.

Thank You
Now if I can make it to her graduation and call her "Dr. Kitten". She didn't sleep with teddy bears, she slept with cats/kittens and loved it when I called her Kitten.

A lot of places that is the norm.
My Grandmother, Great Aunts, Great Uncles and the whole family called my 91yo Great Grandfather "Papa".
My Dad, Uncle and Aunt called my Grandfather Dad or Daddy all their lives
Wonderful shot and sentiment, Bob!
