Yellowstone North Entrance likely to be moved.

The existing road from the north gate through Gardner Canyon to Mammoth Springs is too damaged and unlikely to be replaced. A temporary fix will include the Old Gardiner Road. The time line and final plans should be released soon. It is the second busiest entrance after the west entrance. Latest word.

The South Loop may open next week, but over crowding could change things.

It's sad that all these roads have been damaged. I was fortunate enough to drive on them in 2016 and 2017. Hopefully the reduction in the numbers might give the wildlife a much needed break.

Visitors barely and residents barely touch the 22 million acre Yellowstone ecosystem! It is indeed a magical wonderland!
