Here's a bit of nostalgia in an old house and barn...
Very nice Tommy. I wonder why they left?
Very good. I also enjoy taking photos of old farm buildings and small town structures.
They had their priorities right, the barn is bigger than the house.

Beautiful, ominous looking sky
Life was so much simpler then than now.
Nice find, Tommy--enjoyed.

Spend a Winter in Montana... THEN you'll understand why the left!
Neat photo!
When I was a kid we lived on a radar base 5 or 6 miles from the Canadian border. There was a similarly abandoned homestead about 2 miles due north of us. The buildings were mostly flattened, but the trees that had been planted as a wind break was still there. There was a small pack of wolves living in that old homestead. Our horse and dog didn't like them!
You do this type shot so well, Tommy, thanks for sharing.
A lovely image. Great job.
Great photos. My grandfather homesteaded in Montana in the southeastern part of the state. About 20 north of Miles City. He left after about 12 years there stating that the winters were very harsh and the summer heat. He further stated that he was not a farmer, which his wife's family was, but a cabinet maker. Mahalo for sharing.

Superbe photo, I love the depth and can almost feel the grass. And it's sort of two-in-one, the barn in the background is a subject on it's own, ditto the foreground. If I could produce a photo as good as that I'd be very pleased with myself. Andrew.
