I like Carlin and I am not particularly religious, but I see no humor in attacking someone's religion or faith.

I guess that if you don't understand you probably never will. I was raised a little different, religion was just something that you did not make fun of. I am agnostic at best, but I also understand how important religion is to many people and making fun of it just seems to be out of bounds no matter what my opinion of it is.....

Kinda like making fun of someone's mother, for some the reaction it would invoke would be hardly different, it can be hurtful so why go there?

I was raised in the south and for many years identified with the Rebel Battle f**g as being southern tradition, today I only see ignorance and hatred in that f**g would never fly it or own it.... Just an example of understanding the pain that something you may see as innocent may cause to others.
