Your first picture is precious. Reminds me of a picture of my granddaughter at the bottom of our 'falls' in the front yard.

Guess I'll post one last fishing trip scenes. I'll start in 2016 and work up to a couple years ago.

The locals call this Geezer Beach. Just above Grand Coulee Dam. No matter when you go, there is almost always an older citizen fishing. Now we can really fit in.

Thanks so much. I'm sure being a fellow fisher person makes a difference. Can appreciate the calm, silence, relaxation, and exhilaration.

These are great family pictures. I've also been where you've been with 'the small fish'.

Better a small than none at all and it always makes others laugh and that's a good thing

Thanks so much. I love scenic and flower pictures but pictures that tell stories are maybe my favorite. So many UHHers are so good at all this. One of the reasons I love looking in.

Well folks, thanks for playing along and posting some unique images for the "Special Days". Every day on our calendars is dedicated to something or someone - some I found were pretty funny. For me, the moral of the story is: make every day you have a special one. Time passes too quickly not to treasure the moments - hard ones make you stronger, happy ones keep you going.

Larry has set up Free Sunday. These are my last for this challenge. See you on the next one.

Your sentiment and pictures are very powerful. Plus all your accomplishments. We all can learn from this. I also have a feeling that those really interested in photography tend to enjoy the simple things in life and in one way or another are telling and remembering life's stories and are better for it.

I think you are on to something, Leek. Photographers "see" differently and musicians "hear" differently - very acutely in each case. There are many commonalities, I think, in the different arts and, for me, UHH has developed an appreciation for talented art captured by others - the beauty of individual interpretation, the scenes from around the world, glimpses of personal history and a strong sense of passing along as well as preserving the minutes of life. Take up a camera instead of arms, paint with color and joy instead of darkness and doom, replace blame and rage with grace, tranquility and civility. "The lens" can be so powerful (visible in the images which bombard us daily). I don't think I realized just how powerful until the last decade or so. Enough philosophy from me tonight!
