These images were taken a long time ago at a show in Las Vegas. Shot on a Canon A1 with a 135mm lens. They were shot on High Speed Ektachrome pushed to ASA [yes, they are that old] 800.
Outstanding! I saw their show in Albuquerque many years ago.

Wonderful set! Thanx for sharing.
I have benefitted from living in both Austria and Hungary, and have visited both the Spanish Riding School (Vienna) and the Lipizzaner Stud Farm (Szilvásvárad, Hungary). Perhaps unique to the Lipizzaner (also spelled with two "p"s) is the impressive and ultra-difficult "
Airs Above the Ground," which are extremely advanced and strenuous moves that look deceptively simple and elegant. If you're a horse lover, you should not miss the opportunity to witness this marvel of man-and-horsemanship.
Brought back memories of their show in Rockford, Il.; early '70s. Thanks! My wife and I had been married a couple of weeks; wonderful time.
So nice. I've enjoyed their shows several times - even in Vienna!
I saw them before that when the riders rode without any stirrups. The show was amazing but when I visited them up close later, I was a little disappointed to see that the horses had very short necks and were not nearly as white as they were under the spotlights. I love horses way too much and I guess I am way too picky. The Herrmans were very smart people. Thy never broke the mares to ride and only rode stallions. I don't blame them.
Your photos are beautiful!
