Been a verrrrrrrry fun thread but now I must inform you all that the party is over.
Sold face to face, knocked off $75 for no need to ship and insure. So the buyer has paid $450 for her impatience (vs retail with tax).
She has the full Nikon USA warranty despite the bogus concerns expressed by countless unimaginative hogsters. Nikon requires original proof of purchase but does not require positive I.D.

No User ID but they have been a member since 2018 and have 12,000+ posts and 120+ photos posted. They are probably just trying to capitalize on the scarcity of the Z9.

His UHH name is User ID. He is a frequent poster on UHH. His posts may sometimes be controversial or argumentative, but he is indeed a UHH member.

Here is a thought. The IRS is now keeping track of people who make money through PayPal and expecting income tax to be paid on any profit made on the sales. This will affect a lot of people.
Second, USER.ID is a legitimate member of UHH.
Third, I believe that asking $1000 over list price for a camera is a bit steep, however if someone wants one NOW without waiting, they may be willing to pay it. This isn't a scam. If you don't want to pay the extra $1000, then don't buy the camera.

Some people are desperate for the Z9 and will pay the price to get one. There's nothing wrong with that, if they have the money.
I don't think its a scam. I think User ID is just taking natural advantage of market scarcity. Caveat Emptor applies. Ask a lot of questions.
