I went out to shoot last week, and when I was all finished I was surprised that from a shoot of an old, weatherbeaten house I only had one image that I'd put my name on. I'll be interested in your take.

I am sorry but I just don't see whatever you saw in the scene/photo. Somehow the lighting seems off, the green not a green I recognize and not much of a subject.
I wonder though how I would feel at seeing your rejects. We all see things somewhat differently. Perhaps I would look at some you thought did not meet your expectations and might like them a lot.

Wouldnt put my name on that one either. Maybe its just not much of a photographic subject in the first place ? Just move on and find something else.
I think I see what you were after but it just didn't work.
I agree with the group not name worthy

I worked on it a little bit and I don't know what that blue haze is at the bottom of the photo ¿?
Just delete the post. It's just not there

It might help if you focused on the storytelling aspects of the shot. As you say, it's a weather-beaten old house, so you should concentrate on the shots and the editing that accentuate that aspect of it. Cooler colours - maybe even colours that suggest decay - and grittier textures would help, as well as compositions that focus on the dilapidated look of the house. Vegetation growing inside the building is good but you could add to that. Shots that show the emptiness of the building as well as the vegetation would probably work well. Did it have a roof? If not, show that aspect of it.
I like the composition and the subject matter. That said, it seems a bit heavy on the yellow. I don’t have a problem with the green, but altering the yellow might enhance the green a bit, too.

In the words of Arte Johnson from the TV program "Laugh In," "Very interesting."

You’re 100% correct about the yellow cast. I’m going to fix that later today.
RD, this is an interesting scene. However, there is a bit of flare in the lower-left corner. Additionally, there is a lot of hue contamination which causes the photograph to loose a lot of visual interest.

Bob, You're right about the the hue problem. I was pre-occupied when I originally posted, and I allowed the yellow cast to dominate.
As for the flare, I don't agree. The image is heavily cropped--I'm a "shoot wide, crop tight advocate--and what you're seeing may be the violet flower that's below the window. I'm re-posting the image; hopefully the new image will clarify things.
At any rate, thank you for your helpful suggestions. This has been an interesting exercise.
