For those of you that like old cars without regard for photographic merit, I offer the following snaps from a car show in a local mall parking lot. There were a lot of Mustangs and Corvettes there but my interests run more to the older vehicles. My first car was a 1951 Ford, but not near as pretty as the one in the last photo. If I were going to drive one home, it would probably be the Express Delivery.

Love them cars. When restored in that fashion, they are nothing short of works of art. My first was a 53 Chevy, then a 57 Chevy and my first brand new car was a 68 Mustang (for a whopping $2,800). In those days the manufacturers all had very distinctive styling. A large variety of today's cars (e.g. SUV's) all look alike.

I'll take the MG. I owned a '58, but it was destroyed when 'T Boned' by a Buick Roadmaster.

Nice collection of pics. My first car was a 1949 flathead Ford but I later owned a 1951 convertible with a Southwind heater - now, there was a death-trap. I won’t want either one again but should have kept my 1966 Mustang 2+2 V8 and 1969 XKE roadster.

Nice shots. We had a red one just about exactly like the first ’56 Ford.
