Preconceived Result/ J*** 6th Investigation

I heard one of the House investigators indicated that their goal was to tie Trump to the J****** 6th "i**********n." Any investigation seeking the t***h must go in with no preconceived notions of what the results would be. We do not have that here. The group doing the investigation is obviously stacked. So far, what we have seen is individuals describing the r**t, which should never have happened. Will Pelosi's roll be investigated? I think not. So far, we have a lot of smoke and mirrors, and Trump inviting his supporters to come to Washington on the 6th. The Dems interpret that as a call to i**********n. That would never fly in any court of law, but it does in the minds of House Democrats.

If the Democrats are to prove their case to anybody but Democrats, they must find a smoking gun linking Trump directly to urging this kind of attack. So far, I've seen nothing but Dem innuendo. I do fault him for not calling for them to stop r**ting.

I call it "Dum innuendo". Americans know enough about court cases and/or investigations to know that there are two sides of any case that have to be represented and that there should be an impartial judge. Neither of these exist in this Soviet style persecution.

I rarely comment here but view the posts daily. Two comments: One, if the Democrats hadn’t s****n the e******n there would not have been a January incident. Two, perhaps it is time for us Americans that love this country to stand, rise up, and take this country back from the party that is driving both our country and our economy into the ground. We are the laughing stock of the world.

Take it back at the polls.

For years, the vast majority of "compromises" that came out of federal legislation, governance, and programs led to a more progressive society. For the most part, our country continued to grow and prosper on the inertia provided by a core population, both republican and democrat, that had a strong moral foundation and work ethic.

I think what we're seeing as a country now was inevitable given the ceaseless undermining of our moral foundation and an increasing expectation that government's main job is erasing our bad personal decisions. The reality is the core job of the federal is to protect our rights and protect this country. It's not there to provide health care, dictate educational standards, manage our retirement funding, etc.

Politicians on both sides of the aisle have pandered to get power and wealth to the overall detriment of our civil society. It was easy for all the politicians to buy v**es and generally speaking they were incapable of saying "no". Many Americans also followed this philosophy at home and our nation's personal debt soared.

I don't think "taking back" this country will solve anything at this point because you'd have to fight half the populace who are really only slightly less eager to give up the perks we all enjoy. We've all suckled at the federal teat so long, that most of us don't even realize the extent of our dependence on federal programs. The only way to get our country back is to experience this national pain and make better decisions at the b****t box. Hopefully, people will see our current circumstances and realize that who we put in office is extremely important.

Just keep in mind that ANY politician that states they can fix our problems by increasing handouts is not smart enough to have the job.

Defending Trump is a sure loser at the polls. Perhaps the party of Trump needs to divest itself of this albatross and return to democracy.

Trump, as poor a candidate as he was, was able to beat Hillary in 2016, mostly because Hillary sucked more as a candidate than he did. Despite all the media hype to the contrary, Trump was not a bad president. Many will attribute Trump's behavior at the end of his term as anger resulting from an illegal, 4-year disinformation campaign that is finally being revealed on all media sources.

Biden and/or Kamala wouldn't be able to beat a resurrected Ted Bundy in 2024. The other Dems on the bench aren't much better either. You might have had a chance with Tulsi Gabbard, but I believe you've managed to piss her off. The rest of the candidates from the 2020 democratic primary are terrible.

The republicans can beat any democrat in 2024 with Trump or they can beat any democrat with the next 10 likely people that would step up if he decides not to run. I'd say the Dems losing the presidency is a forgone conclusion.

No conservative (at least on this forum) thought Trump would lose to Biden, but he did. Biden got 7 million more of the popular v**e, and handily won the e*******l v**e.
It would be silly to praise Biden, or most democrats at this juncture—but Trump is not the man for the Republicans.
Smart Republicans know that. Twice impeached, and a failed attempt to o*******w an e******n is just a part of the baggage he carries. He is the only president in history to incite a planned i**********n. A lot can happen in the next two years, but Trump will not get smarter, or more p**********l in that time.

Smart Republicans may not want Trump as a candidate, but if he gets the nomination every republican and many of the Democrats that work for a living and buy their own groceries and gasoline will v**e for him. Who knows, maybe you will v**e for Trump and then lie about it.

A v**e for a democratic president in 2024 is a v**e for national suicide.

If Trump becomes the Republican nominee, then the Republican Party has lost its mind.

You might recall that Hillary won the popular v**e. What that means little one is that a majority of v**ers wanted to see her, not fatboy as President.
