I have decided to get a head start and create 2023 calendars as Christmas presents. It has been so long since I have done this, I forget where I had them printed. Have any of you had a good experience? Willing to recommend someone?
There's plenty of places on line. I believe Googlr Photos does that too.
I did that quite a few years ago, used a picture of each relative to put on their birthday.
I do this as well, and i have been using Shutterfly. The results have been satisfactory, and the recipients have been kind enough to say nice things about the images.
As you would expect, the more you order, the lower the cost for each. What surprised me when I started doing this is the cost of mailing, which is almost as much as the printing! I have been using spiral binding, which my local PO claims takes them out of standard envelope category. I either need to find an alternative binding method, or a different post office.
I have been making them for years for our club members. I have used both Shutterfly & Snapfish which did a nice job and were reasonable but found a local print shop that I can personalize even more :)

I've been using Costco for several years now, and have only ever had a problem once with one calendar. They immediately corrected the problem. In recent years, I've used the larger size option. It's a bit more expensive, but friends family/neighbors all commented positively on their preference for the larger format.
I’ve used Vistaprint for calendars the last three or four years. Quality has been great; with choices of size, paper, etc.. I only use the full page image layout, but there are a large number of other layout choices. Fast delivery. Customer service is great. Don’t know how the prices compare, though.

I have been making annual Christmas calendars for about 20 years using Photoshop with a collection of my photos on 8.5 x 11 photopaper. I use standard pull chains from a local hardware store. I punch 2 holes in the top of each calendar sheet and place a single 12" chain through each hole to allow rotation of the calendar pages without disconnecting the chain. The P.O. has not complained but I insert a sheet of paper towel around the chain so it doesn't rattle.

I have used Vistaprint for at least 10 years-you have to wait for their sales, I always get 50% off by waiting for their promos. They do a good job. Very good customer service.

Just noticed the comment on postage. I do spiral bindings also which technically means a higher rate. But my local post office allows me to send as a large envelope which puts the cost around $2.50 per calendar. Otherwise it is over $6.00.

Thanks for mentioning the sales... I, too, wait for the big sale around Thanksgiving to order the calendars.
I make calendars annually for two different one-design sailing groups. When I began, I used Vista Print and there were problems all the time and the price kept changing. I then found a local printer who does a beautiful job with my photos. It's a small shop and the work is done in-house. The price is much better than any of the online companies and I make a small profit from selling the calendars. My volume is 20 calendars for one group and 50 for another. So two different calendars. The sailors love seeing their boats on the calendar pages and often use them for gifts. If you can find a printer that works in-house, it's the way to go. There are not many of them left.

I do calendars each year from Bay Photo, which turn out great. MPIX also does a great job.
I have them directly shipped to relatives and friends.
BayPhoto.com and plenty of other places like Shutterfly and Blurb.
I always use Vistaprint--never disappointed.

Same here. They do a great job and will correct any problems at their expense (if any arise)! I've used them for five years with no problems. They also do coffee mugs, mouse pads and most anything you can print on.
