Abby Says Hi.

I've tried to get a decent shot of Abbie but she moves so fast. I'd like to get one of her running toward me at ground level. I'll have to have more patients and willing to lay on the ground.

This one was taken on the patio and Abby at my feet. Added a mask and a background along with a texture creating this image.

Abby looks like a fun pup! Nice shot Jim-Pops! In regard to laying on the ground for low level shots: I don't; that is, I put the camera on a tri/mono pod and hold it upside down, resting the camera top/prism on my shoe - camera direction and tilt controlled much like a "selfie stick"; a wireless release does the rest. This works great for extra height, too. Don't try to crop too close and shoot in bursts. Obviously, one must rotate the image 180 degrees afterwards, but that's an easy "batch" operation.

Great looking dog. Looks like a Shih Tzu mix of some kind.

I forgot about inverting the tri-pod, haven't done it in a long time. Good idea. 👍

She is a Morkie, a mix between a Maltese and Yorkshire Terrier.

Looks like a really good companion. I also like how you treated this portrait. It is quite complimentary to Abby. I like the tripod idea as described above. When I want Bunker running toward me, I have my wife hold him and then get his attention. ALmost like revving the engine before the start. Then she lets him go and I shoot in burst with autofocus on.
