Sparrow Fledglings

House sparrows are often considered a nuisance because they seem to be ever present everywhere. However, they are not found in the wilds away from human habitation. They have a preference to nesting in man made structures in cities and suburbs. These particular sparrows are nesting at my neighbors. The young sparrows appear to shiver and droop their wings like in the 4th image above when they anticipate being fed. I hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.

Really nice series with great exposure and clarity. I watch the house sparrows and their young in our back yard. Sometimes it's funny watching the interaction between mama and the young ones.

These photos tell a crisp story of love & discipline [ok, I'm reading a LOT into this]...

beautiful and sharp shots, dan. i haven't seen house sparrows around here...but plenty of chipping sparrows.
