My 15” 2019 MacBook Pro was listed as requiring a free keyboard upgrade so I took the laptop to the Apple Store for evaluation. The unit was packed and shipped the same day to the repair facility and then returned to my home within two days. The entire top including the keyboard and touchpad were replaced but the best part was that a new battery was also installed, all free of charge. The laptop looks and feels like new. I am happy!

I've had similar experience with Apple's repair services. And right now they now have my 2016 15" MBP, which needed a new battery. I expect it back quickly. :-)

Thanks for the post. I need to do the same with my 2017 MacBook Pro. Keyboard acting up and actually a crack in the screen on the lower left. I wonder whether that is covered as well. Although I keep having GAS about the new M1 chip and associated speed increase.

My wife has been an Apple user for years but I was Windows ever since the Mac was introduced. She got me a MacBook for Christmas, so now I'm bipolar, but she didn't get me any stock, and it wasn't included in the box. Currently running around $145.
