Interesting question, but what camera will this walk-around lens be used on, Nikon?

I currently have the nikkor 18-300mm DX for my D500.

For overall walking around, I use a Nikon 28~85. I've never missed a photo when carrying this lens. The other lens I will carry on occasion is the 28~300 Nikon.

I've been running an AF S Nikkor 28-300 1: 3.5 5.6 G on my D3 and AF S Nikkor 24-120 1:4 G ED on my DF which has the D4 sensor. Both do a good job. For shorter / lighter the AF S Nikkor 24 85 1:3.5 4.5 G is very handy. There is always a trade off with zooms, but primes are less flexible.

My wife uses a 24-120 f4 on her nikon
I use a 24-105 f4 on my canon. Works for us especially for non wildlife situations.

I have the Nikkor 24-70mm 2.8 as well as the 70-200mm 2.8 but want more focal length.
