We finally got our little pop up trailer back on the road, after almost a year of waiting for parts and repairs. This is Hagerstown/Antietam KOA, where we often go when we want a quick getaway on short notice; it's only an hour from home, and has canoes to rent and fishing on site. I took advantage of the mild night and safe location to practice my night shots. I got set up before it was fully dark, and the camp cat kept me company while I waited.

Nice low light shot. The walks near Burnside Bridge have always been good for lots of birds and wildflowers. We're only forty minutes away and haven't been there in several years. My family is from the Hagerstown/Williamsport area and we're blessed with many historic and natural sites within an hour or so drive. Enjoy the holiday!

Thanks for your comment. We watched the repair work on the aquaduct over the Conococheague in Williamsport over a couple of years. Did you know the aquaduct has been re-watered?

... another place we used to go to regularly to hike the towpath. Thanks for the tip, gives us a reason to visit the aqueduct and the cemetery where many ancestors are buried. Enjoy your visit!
