Rugby is a sport not for the faint of heart ... either male or female. The men's rugby players call the NFL a bunch of pussies for having all that protective gear on. I didn't know that female rugby was a "thing" but I guess from your picture, it is. The women must not be too concerned about injuries to their face and bodies, what with all the blood that comes along with rugby! I hope your granddaughter has a safe and successful career in rugby!
Women are not immune. Rugby 'war goddess' Georgia Page plays on despite broken nose.
