The PNW is famous (infamous?) for landslides-remember Oso?

That little blow boat danced around in the stiff wind, getting close to the big ship.

These roses really pop with color!

I love your image of the ship. Looks like an old, out of service, Military Sealift Command (MSC) cargo ship. Just curious, what is it doing in that location, dead in the water, with no visible anchoring/mooring rigs? Is it part of a Reserve Fleet in that area?

Sorry for not clarifying. It was under its own steam moving South. It looks like a RO-RO ship but of an older design. I think it is a fishing trawler; the gizmo at the stern is used to haul in nets full of fish.

Nice, Tim! And yes, I remember OSO. I lived in Bremerton for fifteen years after retiring from the Navy. Beautiful place but the drizzly, overcast, damp cold for eight months of the year finally got to me!
