I am taking a trip to Williamsport this Memorial Day weekend.
I will be going to The Terraces resort.
There will be birds and people.
Perhaps deer, bear, rabbits and other creatures.
I have a D30, 10D and a 7D for digital and a F-1 and an EF for film lenses range from fisheye to 100-400mm and a 2X Converter for digital and a similar range but to 300mm for film.
Recommendations for what to bring.

Walking from Delaware to Williamsport? Probably should have left last weekend.

Be sure to drop by Franco's or the Bullfrog Brewery to stay hydrated. Enjoy!

If the sky is clear consider a one hour drive at night to Cherry Spring SP, then plan for a light show in the sky. Fast lens and tripod help a lot.

I realize that you've probably already left on your trip. If so, just let us know how it went when you get back. Here are a couple of thoughts.

I'll be attending a railroad/model railroading convention next month. It will involve three days of outings involving train rides (AMTRAK) trackside photo opportunities, and multiple other great photographic possibilities. Changing lenses in the field is a fool's errand. After careful consideration and experimentation, my plan is to base everything around a D850 (FX) with a 24-70mm f/2.8 and a D500 (DX) with a 24-120mm f/4. Might decide to exchange the D500 for a D810 (FX) with that same lens.

I have found that in the summer, if 120mm won't do it, the trains are too far away...atmospheric ripple will mess up the image. And if 24mm isn't wide enough, you are standing too close to the track.

Not sure how much of my logic is directly applicable to your trip, but it might be worth a thought.

If you have a 50/55mm, take that. If you don't have one, buy one.
