Gwynedd Preserve in Blue Bell PA

I went on a 2.5 hour bird walk at Gwynedd Preserve this morning (Thursday 5/26/22). Shortly after parking a Cooper’s Hawk grabbed a Starling in mid-air, killed it on a Bluebird box and then flew off with it. There are many Coyotes at this preserve but I didn't expect to see one - guess what!

Wow! That was one successful outing. Great shots. I can only dream of an outing with that many opportunities.

The birders know where to go - our leader can tell what's in the area just by sounds.

Wow, Elliott, that was one productive walk. The Hawk series is like a National Geographic special. Also have to say that was a healthy looking coyote.

Thanks, Joe. The preserve is perplexed about them as they are multiplying in a safe haven. The preserve is surrounded by housing and commercial developments and at some point the number of coyotes there will be an issue.
