What would you expect--Lizards
More good work, Jack! How is your back?
Not especially important, but the 'skink' is a Teiid, a Whiptail, perhaps a Desert Grassland W., Cnemidophorus uniparens, but the tail is not really olive as expected; can't see the scalation differences. Fine photo -- my Whiptail photos usually show the tails pretty well ... but nothing else!! Several species in SE AZ. Several species can reproduce parthenogenically, perhaps 'uniparens' is one? However, if it hybridized sometimes with Plteau W., is facultative, as some others are. Fine photos others.

Thanks for the info. I'll break out the reptile books and read up on Whiptails. The shot was taken in the Sonoran Desert west of Tucson.
