I have read on the internet that a big problem with buying cars from Carvana or other like sellers, is getting needed paperwork, like titles.
I have read of buyers waiting months to get the title to a vehicle they bought.
I myself would never buy a vehicle without seeing and test driving said vehicle.

My current car was bought through Karmax, with a dealer in South East Pa. The sale went through flawlessly. The actual dealer delivered the car within only 2 days. The title was delivered with the car. I had a week to approve the sale, and a full warranty on the car. (which is a 2009 BMW Z4 E89 with hardtop convertible) After 5 years the car has not given me one repair. It is a roadster, but has plenty of room to get in and out for both me, and my wife. Actually the car has increased in value, since the E89 model has been designated as a possible classic.

Yes, and CarMax includes "a 1 week test drive" of a purchased vehicle.

During this period, a buyer may take the car to a trusted mechanic for evaluation. A mechanic will put his findings in writing on his business letterhead with costs involved for fixing deficiencies.

I have done this procedure several times now. In each case, the seller has lowered his cost by hundreds or thousands of dollars.

The sale then takes in a more rational context. A sales manager has actually complimented me by saying this written evaluation simplifies the selling and buying process.

I can recommend this mechanic evaluation. If you do not have a mechanic in mind, then consider going to an AAA rated mechanic for this work. Call first to make arrangements. Note that the mechanic may charge a small fee for this service. You will thank yourself for buying a car with open eyes.

By the way, I am not a shill for CarMax. I only refer to its business process.

CarMax has actual dealers in southern Ohio. I have delivered cars from the auction to them several times and took cars from them to the auction.

If you're considering buying a car through an online seller, be careful. Carvana has been banned in at least one state (Illinois) and other sellers have had problems or shut down. They may offer good prices, but do you get what you paid for. Carvana is still advertising a lot online.

jerrycR1, my son was going to buy a 2017 VW Tiguen from Carvana and he wanted it delivered to him in Fredericksburg, Va. The vehicle was in upstate NY. Because that he had no credit, he had a high interest rate and there were crazy warranties on the vehicle. They kept promising him that it would be there in 3 days. This went on for 2 weeks so he got disgusted with Carvana and went to a local VW dealership and got a 2022 Tiguen with lower interest rates and, because he graduated from Va Tech, he got an additional discount. His payments was only $40.00 more a month than what he would've had with the 2017.

Dealers will be reluctant to honor any warranties on cars they did not sell. Can't blame them; they have to take care of their own customers first.

I worked for Ford, and the warranty is with the company, not the dealer.

Ford, and I imagine, the other companies changed the warranty service model years ago. Part of the reality is that folks buy cars and trucks, and may move away from the selling dealer. Dealers learned that the parts and service dollars are big, and they now solicit repair business from folks who bought from someone else. I get postcards all the time from dealers wanting to service my car.

Besides, dealers get paid nicely for warranty claims.
