Glasgow night shots and waterfront.
I had the opportunity last week to practice some low light shots in Glasgow. The first night I was disappointed at first to discover that the breeze was spoiling the mirror like reflection that had been on the river the previous night (when I didn't have my camera!) However I quite like the shots that I ended up taking. 2 nights later the weather was completely calm and you can see the results. The only pp I have done is a bit of straightening/sharpening and white balance adjustment. The reflections are pretty much exactly as they looked on the night. The other shots were taken on Glasgow Green, one of the most ancient public parks in Scotland and part of the original settlement which was known as Glaschu (Gaelic meaning Dear Green Place) which later became 'Glasgow' and show Lord Nelson's Obelisk, erected in 1806, a year after the Battle Of Trafalgar and also the McLennan Arch, which originally formed the entrance to the 18th century assembly rooms but was moved in 1922 to form the entrance to the Green. C & c always gratefully received.
