How are you all doing on robo-calls, especially those of you who still have a land line, as we do? Yesterday, between 1PM and 4PM, we had sixteen calls. Of course, after the ringing ended, I entered all 16 into our CPR-Call Blocker. Hence they will never be able to call us again. But I've never see so many in such a short time window.

How are all you doing with Robo Calls, especially if you are using a Land Line?

I just keep doing as you do but with my cell phone which is my only line. I got rid of the land line at least 10 years ago. The only reason most people keep a land line is to call 911 and they will have an exact fix on your location.

I have another usage for your consideration. Our home is three floors, and to put it discreetly, I don't wear pants at home. So where would I carry a cell phone? But with the landline, there is a phone in every room of the house, including the garage. See why I keep the landline?

Have you tried "nomorobo"? It's not perfect, but it catches most robo calls.

"I entered all 16 into our CPR-Call Blocker. Hence they will never be able to call us again."

That's humorous and indicates that you know little about how these calls are programmed. Try calling any of those numbers and you'll find the vast majority, if not all, are non-working numbers. So, you blocked those 16 numbers. Those companies will call you again from 16 new numbers.

I have landline service and have a recorder attached which intercepts all calls with my recorded message. When the recorded message finishes, any robocall message does not activate, the call is simply terminated by the recording device. If there is an actual legit call, the person calling simply starts talking and we have the option of either picking up and responding or allowing the caller to leave a message which we return later.

The same phone numbers call everyday. Sometimes three or four times a day. Once in awhile I will pick up say nothing waiting to see if anyone says hello. On the rare occasion that they do say something I just hang up. I do this to those numbers that call repeatedly. Just a little something to do if I happen to be sitting by the phone when they call.
I actually had a message from someone who said I called and if I wanted to talk to him to call him back. I guess my phone number was cloned, and the recipient figured that out. But he left a number just in case I was a “legitimate “ caller.

We get about a dozen a day. The interesting thing is that we will get the call on our land line. when we don't answer I'll get the call on my cell. When I don't answer my wife will get the call on her cell.
I'll get the calls at 10-11 PM and again at 7 AM.

Exactly.
I get the same calls from the same people on dozens of numbers that they use. Don't answer and after a while maybe the algorithm will drop your number...MAYBE!

I don't do the call block because a lot of them use "spoofer" software to have caller ID show some other number - I have gotten sales calls that ID'd as our daughter, my doctor, major companies I do business with and even our own phone(s).

I let the answering machine get them while I listen, most don't bother to leave a message and those that do I just hit "delete" while it is recording. My cell phone, if I don't recognize the number I just ignore them, if it ID's as someone I know I answer with just Hello and if someone starts talking I ask "What is this concerning?" in my very best irritated Grizzly tone and most hang up, if they start a sales call, I hang up.

NoMoRobo only works on VOIP lines (ie. cable), not the old copper lines.

True. I neglected saying that. Thanks for the clarification, Bill!

I guess we may average one a day.
Some days two, some days none, rarely three.
Since we don't have Caller ID on our copper land line, I answer and simply hang up when I discover it's a robo call.
Caller ID can be spoofed, especially if THEY are using VOIP.
Our "utility company" wants to contact us OH SO badly...... been trying off-and-on for months.

We are about the same frequency - not enough to drive me crazy. The land line seems under control with nomorobo. I just subscribed both cells phones for nomorobo. $19.99 a year or $1.99 a month. If it improves the frequency of occurrence, it's worth the nominal cost. Most calls are to reup our 2008 Accord warranty we sold in 2013.
