This is a shot of Oliver Cromwells house and not something I would normaly post as there is to much clutter. Builders signage, bikes and tourist signs etc. But as the man said to Lely, "paint me with warts and all" I guess for once I can let my standard drop a little

But the “warts” make it real and not sterile. I like your shot since I did not see it on my one trip to England

I agree with Bud, we don't always get the shot(s) that we were after and as a veteran of many campaigns with my non-photographic wife, there are many times when I just shared what I was able to get.

I am to old to sweat the small stuff and I thank you for sharing it anyway, it is an image that I would not have otherwise been able to see.

It is a "record photo" - recording a place or object - not an art photo, the extra stuff (very "busy" as they often say in the art world) is part of the place.

I once became the sorta "official photographer"* for a summer long field school in Anthropology and Geography in the mountains SW of Mexico City and took a lot of shots like this. A "record" of the place at a point in time - two professors used some of my shots for books they wrote and a big newspaper article about the University's field school. Several shots went to an on campus exhibit about the field school and then into the university archives. Actually the same exhibit in two locations, I got the prints from one of them when they came down.

*I was one of the graduate level students and because photography was my hobby I had 3 to 4x as much photo gear as anyone else (and all high end 35mm gear). One of the professors introduced me to the owner of the photo shop he used when he did his PhD work in the same location and I got Agfa film, gang/proof prints, images for local people we worked with and other stuff at a discount so I could do a lot of photography for the two professors. I also got a discount on color slide film for my own pictures.

Thanks for all the comments, most of what I agree with. Had they not had the builders screens up on the left side I could have accepted it as a reasonable shot but now I have had my fun with it its heading to the bin
