The young bucks are showing signs of things to come. In the late afternoon, I sat in the shade of a tree and watched the deer for several hours. The deer were not much bothered by me as they fed on grass and moved about. I hope you enjoy the photos and thanks for viewing.
Beautifully done, Dan. The downloads are fabulous.
All are great shots, especially the last one.
They were posing for you! Very good set.
Some great captures. The buck in the last photos is already showing some spunk.
You captured their inherent beauty!!

Those are really nice images of those young bucks. I especially like the later four. I wish I could keep straight the differences between (identifications) of Deer, Elk, Antelope, etc. We have several in areas of California and I know I have seen Pronghorn, Tule Elk, Mule Deer, and the common Deer what ever those are. Please keep posting your wildlife photographs.
P.S. I just looked up that California has 6 species of Deer, 3 species of Elk, and 1 species of Antelope. Wow, ten similar animals.
Excellent work, Dan, thanks for sharing!
Very nice Dan - well done.
