What you call a Hydrangea looks to me like a carnation. I realize I am broadcasting my ignorance on the subject, but sometimes the best way to learn is to swallow your pride and expose your vulnerability.

Re the tulips. The yellow one obviously, but the others? They look so different. But then a lot of these pix were shot in Holland Michigan. I will try not to send obvious duplicates.

Thanks, I took them all, mostly with my 18-55 kit lens, which is good on close-ups. Also a few others with macro tubes or manual lenses. Can you name any of these flowers? I know few if any of them, (wouldn't know a pansy from a venus fly trap) and have been glad for the feedback so far.
21 Best guess creeping phlox.
22 A tortured tree.
23 Chrysanthemums surrounding kale and grasses.
24 Cabbage.
25 A rudbeckia -- Black - Eyed Susan.
26 Coleus.
27 Amaryllis.
28 A flowering fruit tree -- plum a good guess.
29 Tree leaves opening.
30 Dandelion gone to seed.

I am learning a lot from you. First, that I like some flowers so much I keep taking their pictures. Second, that a lot of flowers (tulips) have many varieties. Third, I suspect you may be making up some names (Calibrachoa) where the flower is too beautiful for such a name. What is dead nettle?? Part 6 later today.......
