This is a book my wife got me for Xmas, but I have seen documentaries on TV on both subjects...you couldn't make them up!
I watched it and thought it was a great movie.
Some oldies that are available on the streaming networks: One-Eyed Jacks starring Marlon Brando and Karl Malden. A classic movie with great plot, character development, cinematography. Blood Simple made by the Cohn Brothers starring Emmett Walsh, Frances McDormand and Dan Hedaya. A dark tale about a bar owner who hires a private detective to follow his wife
Haven't seen that one. It appears to be a remake of "The Man Who Never Was" that starred Clifton Webb

I just watched a movie on TV a couple of nights ago that I thought was outstanding. I'm not sure how new or old the movie is but the name was, "Operation Mincemeat". It tells of the greatest ruse employed in warfare and was really well done.
We watched that a week ago. Excellent movie.
My wife and I go to the movies often. Of the movies out right now, I would highly recommend these two:
"Everything Everywhere All At Once" and "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent"
EEAAO stars the female lead in "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon". EEAAO is a hoot.
Massive Talent stars Nick Cage in another hilarious movie.
Secondhand Lions is a really great Movie
Fell asleep watching it, but then again most of what I see coming from Hollywood ( meaning the entertainment industry in general) has much the same affect on me.

Thanks. I saw that advertised on Netflix (I think). I'll take a look. I like wartime deception stories. Have you seen "The Man Who Never Was"?
Speaking of deception - that didn't work, the Russians showed a video of an air strike that destroyed a new weapon that was sent by the West. Turns out, it was a composite video. They showed the drone's view of the weapon, and they superimposed videos of explosions over it. I guess they figure they can win a make believe war.
I also enjoyed this movie on Netflix, well worth it.

Agree completely! Great story and very well-done film.
It is a good movie - books about the operation have a lot more in them than the movie did. It was only a small part of a larger disinformation campaign. Classified for decades and I'm sure there are still other operations from WWII that are still classified.
"The Man Who Knew Infinity',....based on a true story,....quite a good watch on YouTube with no ads.
