As I know all of you across the pond love our dear Queen Elizabeth I have taken the liberty of posting some pics off our TV sorry for the quality of some.
As our Queen at this time is feeling the young age of 96 therefore Price Charles will be reading the Queens speech in her place.
Prince Charles the Prince of Wales & the Duchess of Cornwall both in attendance of the State opening of Parliament.
The Queens Crown, the Sword of State & the Cap of Maintenance was escorted to Parliament.

We Did miss the Queen this year! Thanx for sharing!
While I have to admit that I don’t really get the whole “Royalty” thing, the pomp and pageantry is pretty impressive.
Wonder how much all that jewelry (Hat Candy? Lol) is worth.
Thanks for these. I'm always interested in the various ceremonies conducted in places other than where I live. Though I do own property in Scotland.

Thanks for the photos. Whatever you might thinkof all the pomp and ceremony its refreshing to see people who take leadership and government seriously. Unlike the clowns we have representing us in Washington
You missed out the diamond and ruby royal toilet seat and the plastic cross of the noble order of St. Nogbad the skink. I understand there are no eggs left in the UK because of all the scrambled egg on show. Prince Charles of course got all his medals from establishing a bridge head over the queen's breakfast table.
