The Raven of Yellowstone

While walking back to the truck from photographing a hot pool area I noticed this Raven just sitting on the ground. As it is about the biggest Raven I have seen for a long time and it was close, maybe 30 feet away, I started taking photos as I slowly walked toward it. It never did fly but did give me some sharp photos of this beautiful bird.

Thank you Mike. It helped that he stayed pretty much motionless most of the time. When I was closest he may have about 15 feet away. Another tourist walked toward the Raven and got to about 8 feet from it. I was all hunkered down behind a bush hoping she would scare it into flight and I was ready. All it did was walk closer to me.
