We are all packed and set to head out for Yellowstone N.P so will see you in a few weeks. Want to thank everyone that has responded to this series on M.V. for all your nice comments which were very much appreciated. Apologies for not answering them individually.

For those who asked about using a guide, I highly recommend doing that...I've used Navaho photo guides (Phillips Photo Tours) on our last couple of trips. What we do is stay at the Valley View Motel that overlooks M.V. with a valley view (east side) so you can get photos from the room balcony. Also, what I do is tour the M.V. loop road on my own the first day to photo and sort out what I would look forward to with the guide. Second day is a full day with a guide that includes the remote part of M.V. not included on the loop road tour. Should mention that we have been there many times and always between mid November - mid March...stay away from the busy, dusty season if possible. We occasionally get snow during this time which adds experience...which includes the muddy, slippery, icy dirt roads!!

Should mention that the Valley View Motel has a large, interesting gift store and excellent dinning facilities. The rooms are all very nice in Native American motif. These are the only amenities available at M.V. Book early if you plan on going. Finally, one last image from when we were on our way home from this last trip.

Forrest Gump was not available for a 'sports action' pic, Jim???

Well done, regardless.

Another fine image. I pretty much know where you took that photo from and was tickled by the stop sign in that roadside stop.
