Laptop won’t print.

My HP Pavillion won’t print wirelessly to my canon printer. My phone, tablet and desk top are ok. I have heard that this is a problem related to Microsoft Windows 11. I’ve done the YouTube tutorial which didn’t fix the problem. Microsoft has to be aware & offer a fix at some point in time. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Have you updated the driver's?
I've had problems with my wireless Canon printer's connectivity and uninstalling and reinstalling has worked.

As Morrison said… check for updates first. If unsuccessful then delete the printer from your files and install the printer once again as if starting new. Should fix the problem

Try deleting all files from the print cue. Send another print, if that doesn’t work delete the file you just sent and reinstall the driver. If that doesn’t work check for Win 11 updates.

It took a while for me to sort my problem of not printing in Windows 10 from laptop to a printer connected to our router.

1. https://techcult.com/fix-windows-cannot-connect-to-the-printer/ The first solution worked for me but only with
step two already in place.

2. Control Panel/Programs and Features. Left panel click on Turn Windows features on or off. Scroll down to SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support. Click the plus sign. Check all three boxes. Caution...this is a known security threat and Windows Updates will uncheck them.

I have tried every solution offered through Google searches. This is the only solution that allows me to print from my laptop to a desktop printer on our home network.

My Epson gets a wild hair every so often, so I just Delete that printer and then reinstall the software. Only takes a minute to get software on the net and reinstall. Usually I just lose Epson Scanning.

I have multiple printers for different uses and most are wireless on the network. I also resorted to deleting and reinstalling sometimes. Other times I just reset the wireless connection at the printer itself. I finally ended up running a wireless extender to the outermost cluster of printers in my wife's office and wired them and her PC to a network switchbox. Haven't had a problem since.

I have to clear the "Print Spool" occaisionally on my HP wireless printer.

Windows 10 has been around almost 7 years now. Canon writes good printer applications, but their printer drivers suck. The web is full of user complaints about the connectivity issues with their printers. I doubt that they've done anything to fix what looks like a simple problem even in Windows 11. My experience is that the computer (either laptop or desktop) needs to have its spooler service stopped and then re-started. Once that has been done, the printer will work.
The act of resetting the spooler service is something that should be included in the printer driver. This is completely caused by Canon and has nothing to do with Microsoft. My other printer (HP-branded) works without incident on the same network as my Canon.

As mentioned above, I have the same issue with my HP printer on Windows 10.

have you turned off your laptop and printer and rebooted your router and then turned your devices back on - you should then be able to find the printer in devices and printers
