Nice shot. I'm old and rusty, not completely idle but more so than I should be.
Of little interest to many, but for us who grew up with car parts in our crib and Sunday was a day of fixing our cool cars, leaded and lowered, it brings memories of going to the scrap yard. So, the purpose of a good photo is to tell a story or to evoke emotion/nostalgia in the viewer it does its job.
Unused and inactive... indeed we rust.
i like it ... might go in B&W?
I like this photo, plus it is a good reminder that a keen eye is a very necessary part of taking great images.

I may be getting old, and rusty, but not due to lack of use. Just my parts are getting worn out!
Old Minneapolis Moline tractor?

Definitely a human analogue to this nice photo!
Old but not rusty, I use WD40 daily. I really like the shot I too remember days in the wrecking yard. Take your own tools, Stromberg 94s and 97 50 cents each, rebuild kit 2 or 3 dollars, scrub with some deadly solvent, install kit and adjust float, sell for ten dollars. Four barrels were too expensive and too much work for too little profit. Besides any budding hotrodder would rather have three duces on an Edelbrock manifold than a squat and ugly Carter AFB
I'm not old. Just extremely high mileage with poor maintenance.
