Love the staircase. Come back to the Philly area. There is plenty to see and photograph here and in the surrounding area. Historic sites such as Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, American Revolution Museum, Betsy Ross House, Valley Forge, USS New Jersey etc., and Phila Art Museum, Rodin Museum, Franklin Institute, Natural Sciences Museum, Boat House Row, the first Zoo, Valley Forge, Adventure Aquarium, Longwood Gardens, etc., etc., etc.

Thanks. I lived in Philly for a total of seven years ('71-'75 and '89-'92).. The first three at 16th and Allegheny, not my favorite address, one in Germantown and then later at 17th and Callowhill. During the ten years I lived near Wilkes-Barre I would occasionally drive down for the weekend. It has been a while now. Alas, I think I would not feel as safe in Center City as I did in '89-92. Learned photography at Longwood from a classmate who was already an excellent photographer.

I understand your apprehension. I always try to avoid the crowded times at any local event. At any crowded event there is always someone there with a gun itching for a reason to use it. The world has become a very dangerous place. It won't be long before we all start wearing body armor in addition to our pandemic masks. At 75, I'm ALMOST glad I'm on the way out rather than the way in.

Lovely photographs, all of them. I am particularly drawn to the black and white photos. Just excellent overall. Well done.

Transferring photos from USB drives to SSD. Found some photos I'd forgotten I'd taken. The equivalent of finding a $50 in the pockets of a winter coat when it gets pulled out of the closet the following November. Well, in New England, maybe October. These are from a few years ago during my last visit to Philadelphia and environs. Included in an afternoon with my cousins were stops at Valley Forge and Winterthur.

All shots with EM 1 mk ii and 12-40 f/2.8 Olympus lens.
