Spring came a bit late to CT this year, but it was worth the wait. The flowering trees burst forth more glorious than we've seen in several years. Here are a few from my favorite Pink Dogwood.

Spring always arrives around March 19 or 20 in the Northern Hemisphere. The arrival of spring, vernal equinox, is not a meteorological event, it is an astronomical event. Spring is never early or late. I know what you are saying but, spring was not late. Meteorologically, spring actually arrives even earlier, on March first. I live in Pennsylvania, and it used to snow often in the spring. Now, not as much as years past.
Nice dogwood tree. The house I grew up in had several of them in the front yard. Not real big but really pretty.

Beautiful set. The dogwoods in Portland, OR, are more brilliant than last year, after a bit of a late start. Light pink, dark pink, and white. I am blessed to have a mature 30-year-old Cherokee Brave in my west-facing front yard.
