With covid surging again in the US, one of the local community bands that I play trombone in, restarted having rehearsals. To be safe, we rehearse out side. The other trombonist looked over at me and said, wow, what an image. All I had with me was my mobile device, but, I think this does tell a story. I am trying to figure out how to tweek it into something even better. Any suggestions?

Wish I could, but I do manage to play in one local concert band. The conductor spent several administrations playing horn in The President's Own, so the level is pretty good. Enjoy your passions!

Interesting photo!!!
Try cropping to the top of your music page. The people in the top of the photo don't add to the story (in my opinion). The main interest is the reflection. You have several leading lines directing the eye to it. What would be more of a personal opinion is whether or not to crop out your fingers. Personally, I prefer them left in to show that your hand is on a slide so the instrument is a trombone. Seeing just the bell would have me wondering what the instrument was. It would have been nice if your hand was a little more in focus to bring the elements together but I do realize it was a cell phone photo where you don't have the same control.

It's a great shot, but how about 74 more trombones facing each other in a circle, blowing their hearts out, and everybody's hair standing on end 😒😒😒😒😒

funny, we really have 8 trombones if everyone showed up, we blow away almost everyone else. It is still early in the response to covid, and many, as I, am fearful of band practice as a super spreading event, although outdoors and spread apart, it is an acceptable risk, to me.
