Zoom Bluetooth Camera

Hi, my user TR4A and am not a new member, but have been gone for several years. The photo bug has once again captured me and I have a question to ask about non-DSLR cameras. I have a Sony RX10 III and but would like a camera that can be set up with my computer using bluetooth. My reasoning is to take a photo and it will go directly to my Photos on MacBook Air computer.

I don't know if there is such a camera with long zoom that does such a thing. I have a iPhone 13 Pro max, but of course there is no zoom. It would also need to be fairly light for I want to be able to hold it without my hands shaking. Can anyone give me some advice? Sure would appreciate it. Thank you

Do you want the computer to 'drive' the camera? Or, just be able to transfer the image files to the computer, wirelessly, when desired? The later is an option for most every current model from all camera types. Keep in mind, the transfer speed may be agonizingly slow, defeating the usefulness of the wireless approach. Look at any known Mac compatibility issues before buying. Technically, Bluetooth is equipment agnostic, but Apple has a way of getting in the way of everything.

Yes, CHG_CANON the later option is what I am speaking about. Sort of like when I take a photo with my iPhone the photo goes into the PHOTOS library. I can see where it would be a slow transfer, but over time the photos would transfer instead of using a USB cord. One of the advantages is not having to attach the USB cord and also having older photos on the camera going into the library if one forgets to select them. Can you suggest a camera having a great zoom for doing such a thing? Do you happen to know one I should look at. Also, if I would decide to sell my Sony have you any idea of the value. I have an Olympus pen also, but I have several lenses and I don't use it as much or I should haven't. I simply don't like chasing lenses. It has a VF-4 viewfinder on it. Thank you for replying.

Do not know about other systems, but the Olympus / OMDS will do that. It has a bigger sensor than your Sony and is smaller, lighter, and less costly than APS-C and FF.

Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark II This only has a 42 zoom and I want more than that. Thanks for all of your help. At least I know they make such cameras.

What about WiFi transfer? Most newer cameras seem to have that ability and WiFi would probably be faster.

My Sony RX10IV will let me send phones wirelessly or either using the Bluetooth.

If you follow the instructions in the Web Help Guide (either the PDF or webmanual), you can find how to enable the WiFi for connecting to various smart phones and to a computer: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/product/dsc-rx10m3/manuals

There's probably plenty of video examples on utube too, that have recorded and demonstrate the written text from the Web Help Guide.
