Nikon D4 with 200-500 5.6 vr. On most of these shots 1/3200 at 5.6 iso around 1000 give or take.
Overcast day with wind gusts at 35 mph.
I used Topaz Denoise and Sharpening when editing.

Some shots D500 with 80-400 for shots at the plate and second base. Mommie shots I used fill flash.

Jules,

Nice set! Extremely good. I'm always after these similar types of pictures and also trying to get more of the infield play after a hit, its so hard, almost like volleyball.

Keep posting my friend!

thanks for sharing,
Rick

Very well done, I love it.I am going to try some shots at 1/3200, f/5.6, Iso 1000 and see what they look like. All our Regionals start Monday the 16th. I haven't shot much lately. I have something again, respiratory or sinuses. I just can't stay healthy lately. Thanks BE SAFE!!

I like the images. My favorite is the double play with the baserunner coming in. I guess it is because I was an infielder "during the day" that it evokes memories. Nice set and helps put me in the frame of mind for this afternoon. I'm heading outdoors to shoot a softball double header. I've been thinking about how I wanted to set up and your information has given me some ideas and aspiration to get some comparable shots. Good job.

Wow - 35 mph gusts. Now that would be a challenge for the players!

Indeed a challenge keeping the monopod steady. That's life in the desert..
