More Birds.

Visited the Dupont Nature Center, Milford Delaware, yesterday. Naturally I was there to take pictures and see the nature center. Great place.
While leaving we spent some time with the birds around the place
Ruddy Turnstones, Yellow Legs, Dowitchers, and some Red Knots but I failed to find the Red Knots in my viewfinder. I did manage a little time with a Clapper Rail

Great set Bill. I haven't seen any of these b4. I've seen Virginia rails, but never heard of clappers.

Great set, Bill. The Clapper Rail peeking out from the grasses is my favorite by far. Gotta love those elusive birds.

I had to spend a little time determining this to be a Clapper. Coloring is about the same but the Clapper is larger.
My first sighting of one.

Thanks Mike. I like that image also. Seems to show the birds character a little.
I was all set up taking pictures of the Dowitchers and she came out. Dowitchers became "extras".
It was a great 10 minutes. Maybe 5? She would come out, check for the all clear. Take a bath and go back up the ditch. I think she did it 4 times. I shot over 100 images of her and deciding which to process and share was a challange. She was so close about 75% were keepers. The others were OK but didn't have her full face or eye.
