I have been very fortunate and grateful to have found access to an active Pileated WP nest. I have been chasing these Pileateds for several years now !
These are definitely another box check on my bucket list
Canon 80D and Canon 400 prime + 1.4X II from tripod. Changing mid morning light filtering through the trees. 1/350-1/250, f8, ISO 200 . Challenging distance - about 65 feet (close as I could get ! ) - these images with 50-65 % BIG CROPS......

Awesome! My wife and I have also been hunting a pilated best. We have gotten pics of the family on our suet feeders but not at a nesting site yet. Patience is usually rewarded if one doesn't give up. Great shots.
