Oddly, the Facebook police are rabid about editorial comments that don't support their agenda. However, scams are rampant throughout the site. Perhaps it's the fact that the scammers are paying money to place their ads, such as the one you noted.

Facebook used to be famous for bogus ads always offering 70% off from a variety of vendors: Ralph Lauren, Channel, etc. Extremely well-done and convincing productions. Haven't seen one for several months but when in existence, I'm sure they made some Nigerians rich.

I'm buying 20 of them, (gonna re-sell at street markets)! No but seriously, I've seen the same type of ads on FB for "overstocked" highly speced laptops (99 bucks also). Haven't looked into it, but I suspect it's the same place to throw your money at!

I have come across that AD as well, 3-4 times on Facebook. If you pay close attention it is always a different person or couple.
