Have not seen the owls in several days now - I had almost given up. After work yesterday I just got a feeling I should check them out again. The Owlet was positioned so that a clean shot was possible. The parent was buried deep in a pine bough.
CONDITIONS: Very late afternoon with strong backlight many clouds and much wind ! 8-(
After a few static exposures, the Owlet decided to stretch his wings like he was thinking about flying ! 8-)
These shots are single exposure ! 1/250, 600mm (EQ), f4, ISO 200, center spot focus, small crops, hand held, JPEG, PP in Elements 9.
